Yes at night with dim lights along road , it’s very scary . Many residents in that area said camp is haunted

I opine we must treat our FT better. Imho, the Istana is the perfect place to host them. Lots of space there. Nice scenery too. Halimah can contribute by cooking for them. 24/7 security to boot.

Since PMO is located inside the Istana, also easier for Pinky and company to show their love and concern.

Absolutely agree and I am with you on this.

Those old timers you used to see with the half red half white medal ribbon bars on their number 2 and 3 uniforms were the ones who saw action during Konfrontasi. They were the only ones with real combat experience

while in SAFTI a particular toilet in the old typo of barrack was avoided during nights ....the story line was soldiers bodies cut to pieces during Konfrontasi was washed there

but the real soldiers who fought the the Konfrontasi and drove terror into the hearts of the enemies were the Scottish regimenta...they were based in Chip Bee area of our current Holland Road area...the R Guards and the Fusiliars and forgot the name of the other regiments

was told one of their tactic was to sneak into the Long Houses of the Dayaks in Kalimantan and ...slide next to the the victim and slit his throat muffling all noises...the next day the whole village wakes up in terror ...why done I quite forgot but the Godfather movie have such a scene too

The Gurkhas were involved too but I have no personal knowledge ...but the Gurkhas never accept any other than a Scottish as their officers ...strangely the British soldiers, I knew ,while the soldiers were Scottish their officers were usually Irish
