Japanese are naturally very clean pple. They are discipline since young. SG is probably 2nd to them but still easily one of the cleanest place around. We are train to be clean else wallet pain. As for India, I remember this quote during the last commonwealth games in Delhi. When criticism about the cleanliness of games village came in, the head organizer made the following comment "the level of cleanliness expected by international visitors was different to that of local standards."

in short he's telling the international community. Hey you better conform to OUR standards. You the international community better conform to OUR standards. Even though we are the hosts you have to conform to us not us to you. Imagine that. Kelings standard of hyigene is also super low. I think only very poor african countries like somalia can conform to it.

Imagine if china actually said something along those lines. Will get flamed to kingdom come. Yet when kelings say it not that big a backlash.
