A friend was hospitalized over the weekend and was staying at Mount E. hospital.
It's been a while since I went over to Orchard area and got a big surprised when was visiting him over the Sunday, when there were hordes of foreign workers congregating at Lucky Plaza areas, having "picnic" along the pedestrian walkway, stretching right up to the Mount E. area......

I know there were many of them, but did not know it was that many FW/FT..........
Nevertheless, it was an eye opener, to say the very least, on the extent of the number of FW/FT in Singapore.....:eek::eek:

they are there to congregate and copulate with their pinay girlfriends

While they congregate and picnic at Luck Plaza area, they copulate and fornicate at their favourite haunt i.e. Botanic Gardens!

Go to Peninsula Plaza every Sunday or Public Holiday and it's Myanmar Day!:)

Its always like that for dunno how many donkey years already. Just return to Singapore? First time you see this huh?

very common sight on sundays. nothing to shout about. very difficult to sell tissue as they all already have tissue packets.

Another perk for foreigners in Sg. If Singaporeans gathered in such numbers (I think more than half a dozen or so...?), it will be termed as illegal gathering. Need a permit to do this too.

Cheers!

it's a nuisance to businesses at orchard road. long ago when i pretended to buy a lorex watch to impress my gf, i was blocked from the store by pinays picnicking around it. but later i thanked them as i was spared from going into store and not having the money to buy the cheapest model. :p

Lucky plaza they day is dying. Let the pilipinos have their picnic inside in aircon comfort.

Doesn't bother me. I don't go to Orchard Road. Anything I want, I can find in shops and/ or malls in neighbourhood and other residential districts. My wife used to go to CK Tang, and I was told by people working there that they do not like the Pinays going in there to use the toilets! Must be tough being a security guard and salesperson there. How to differentiate between customer/trespasser?

Cheers!

I think you have not been out for a long time......before the construction of the 2nd MRT Station at Orchard Rd, the areas outside the current MRT & inside too on Sundays...the underpass..etc...the road leading to Mt.E., the building next door, nutmeg rd etc..

You go Botanic Gardens, Gardens By The Park....Jurong East MRT Area &...Chinese/Japanese Gardens.....you have not been out for long while I presume...

St. Andrew's Cathedral open area & the open space in front of The Adelphi are the Burmese....I dread going there on Sunday's....whole of Peninsular Plaza & shopping & that area full of them....& it has got a "funny" Burmese food smell & they sell betel in leaves, like the kek lengs of tester year used to eat...you can see some "red stain" from the spit of the betel on the floors...

Lucky Plaza got Filipino smell...Peninsular Burmese ....Golden mile....Thai....Serangoon Rd...Tekka area..Indian/Banglas......Stinktothecore is blessed with so many "smells"...ha ha ha ha
