Posted on 09 Jun 2012 Motorcyclist thrown 30m off bike in Bayfront Link accident
A motorcyclist was flung about 30 metres away from his bike after he was involved in an accident with a car at a junction at Bayfront Link this morning (Jun 9), reports STOMPer Mohd Bathshah.
The STOMPer wrote:
"A foreigner who was attempting to turn right at Bayfront Link hit a motorcycle at around 11.45am this morning (Jun 9).
"If I'm not wrong, he failed to give way to the rider and proceeded to turn right, thus hiting the motorcycle and causing the rider to be flung about 30m away from his bike.
"When I went over to help the rider, I saw that a few of his teeth were broken and that he sufferred a really serious injury to his right leg.
"We didn't move the rider to the side of the road as we didn't want to make his injuries any worst.
"The impact of the accident was quite big -- some part of the motorcycle flew quite far from the main body as well.
"We stayed there until the ambulance came and take him to the hospital."
