Never ever rent to Ceca. One year rent to them and your flat aged like 10 yrs full of chao bawu that even after 10 fucking totally Dettol cleansing and still smell like a hidden dump of sai somewhere inside flat that is unreachable.
Chow ceca has a bad reputation for destroying houses.
 
HDB owners need not pay investment property-tax, so their costs are also lower.

However, this rental sector will peak when RTS opens.
The government should heavily tax those owners of HDB flats rented out, since they make so much money from subsidised flat.
 
The foreigners should blame our government instead for selling a tiny pathetic pigeon hole HDB flat at sky high price. Also, blame our government for open both legs so wide bringing so many CECA Indians, so the demand of rental flats goes up, price goes up too.
Foreigners are the coolie gene JHK, Tiongkok lang, CECAs, Pinoys who all come and complain about expensive rent in Sg. They can go be homeless and sleep on Sg streets or even free stay at the police tent for all they want.
 
in sg, it’s very common for landlord and or agent to partition a 2-bedroom condo into 6.9 rooms (each bedroom becums 2, living room becums 2 bedrooms, utility or bomb shelter becums another bedroom). i walked into over a dozen ghettos like these just to view them for possible purchase but i backed out after absolute disgust and shock. tenants are from the 3rd world and nobody cleans anything, especially the toilets and kitchen. if ceca, they have incense burning all day. can vomit.

some old, some new. 69% of them fall into the boutique condo category, i.e. small development with less than 69 units thus maintenance costs more per unit. no security guard, one small pool, no courtyard, no recreational nor sexercise room. 2-bed unit usually in the 699 sqft range. already very tight and yet landlord squeezes 6.9 “rooms” out of a pigeon hole. collect sg$699 per month per tenant if unit is an old walk up. with lift and newer, sg$1k per month per tenant. 6.9 tenants will provide $6.9k rent per month. for these 3rd world tenants, sg has becum shithole sexpensive. they endure for the jobs and pay in sgd. eventually will sexplode and shit hits the fan. it’s not if but when.
