Yes, it's kind of funny and entertaining on a bored Sunday, but I remember feeling flabbergasted when a Taiwanese ex-colleague told me this was one of the better political commentary programs in Taiwan.

Now after coming across more of such shows from Taiwan, I have to agree. This nonsense really is quite gold standard as far as Taiwan's "serious" TV programs go. No wonder many Taiwanese I've spoken to have warp views of how the world works, hard to think straight when one is marinated with such kooky standards day in day out.

Have you watched 57爆新闻? It's a similar news format but tries to be less trashy. Of course.. less trashy means less entertaining.

With all the shit happening in this end of the world lately it's been frustrating to watch the news channels and their biased viewpoints. couple of the few credible channels reporting on Asia (IMHO) are DW and scmp.
