The Ford philosophy then was very much like our chenghu today:

Ford: You can have any colour you want, as long as it's black

Chenghu: You can have any chenghu you want, as long as it's PAP

After Ford Model T, the natural new model was not named Model U, to follow in alphabetical order.

If it is called Model U, it will be "FORD U" !
