【本報訊】香港因修訂《逃犯條例》而風波不斷，香港眾志秘書長黃之鋒與常委羅冠聰日前於金鐘一間酒店與美國駐港領事Julie Eadeh會面，惹起社會質疑。中國外交部駐港公署昨表示，就有傳媒報道美國駐港總領事館官員接觸「港獨」組織頭目，已於昨日緊急約見美國駐港總領事館高級官員，提出嚴正交涉，表達強烈不滿和堅決反對，要求美方就此作出澄清。
公署有關負責人強調，中方堅定不移維護國家主權安全和香港繁榮穩定，堅決反對任何國家、組織和個人以任何方式干預香港事務。
要求恪守國際法 劃清界限
公署強烈敦促美國駐港總領事館人員恪守《維也納外交關係公約》、《維也納領事關係公約》等國際法和國際關係基本準則，恪守領事人員身份與職責，立即與反中亂港分子劃清界限，停止向違法暴力分子發出錯誤信號及插手香港事務，不要在錯誤的道路上愈走愈遠。

有旅遊業界人士指，反修例衝突蔓延令香港旅遊業近乎陷於停頓。
反對修訂《逃犯條例》示威衝突持續，令香港旅遊業近乎陷於停頓。商務及經濟發展局局長邱騰華昨表示，今年首六個多月訪港旅客數字呈增長，但自七月中，減幅由百分之一點五，擴大至八月初下跌三成一，而港島區的酒店入住率在七月亦出現雙位數跌幅。有旅遊業界人士指，由上月底起訪港的東南亞旅行團數量暴跌近九成，預計本月只有約四百名東南亞團旅客，因應現時情況，有旅行社員工由本月開始陸續放年假，下月更開始要停薪留職。
邱騰華昨指，本港首兩季的零售業數字為負百分之二點六，而六月更下跌至負百分之六點七，相信七月更會下跌至雙位數字。酒店入住率方面，對比去年同期，今年六月的整體入住率下跌三個百分點，七月跌幅亦肯定是雙位數。
貿戰影響 出口數字同樣下降
邱又稱，香港出口貿易數字同樣下跌，主要受中美貿易關係影響。邱指過去兩個月與多個業界會面，並希望本港暴力衝突可早日完結，集中處理經濟問題。
業界：大型推廣須待事件平息
香港入境團旅行社協會創會會長謝淦廷指，以往七月至八月東南亞旅行團來港的旅客達四千至五千人，然而近月香港衝突頻生，更蔓延至不同地區，影響旅客來港意欲，目前九月無新東南亞旅行團預訂來港，料屆時只有二百至三百名旅行團客。
與此同時，內地訪港團數目亦大跌。香港旅遊業議會主席黃進達指，現時內地訪港團一個月約為一百六十至一百七十團，較去年同期的逾二百團大減。黃又稱，旅議會已向內地及海外的相關單位解釋目前旅客活動仍安全，亦與港府反映業界情況，但大型推廣計劃要待事件平息後才能進行。
帝苑酒店要求供應商給折扣
旅遊業步入寒冬，亦打擊本港酒店業。近日網上流傳一張帝苑酒店向供應商所發的信函，指「目前香港發生的政治事件大家都有目共睹」，建議供應商由本月一日起提供折扣。帝苑酒店回覆指，鑑於本港經濟自年初以來向下行，因此希望供應商可以提供折扣一起共度時艱。旅遊界立法會議員姚思榮認為，因酒店業入住情況急轉直下，上述情況會愈來愈多，他指現時酒店要減價促銷，平均收入減少約四成，他冀政府可減免旅行社及酒店等牌費以減輕業界負擔。
地產建設商會譴責暴力升級
另外，香港地產建設商會十六個會員昨發表聯署聲明，指近日香港社會因為一小部分暴力人士的行為而蒙上陰影，不但已偏離眾多和平示威者的原意，工商團體至市民大眾亦深受困擾，商會又對日益升級的暴力作出強烈譴責，希望香港盡早回歸安寧與法治。
