Bus no 80 (Horbour Front - Sengkang) driving quite fast through Geylang Lorong 1 and suddenly colliding at the rear of a double decker bus no 21 a little after the junction. Front windscreen was nearly smashed and dented.

This accident could have been avoided if the driver in bus 80 have not driven that fast especially when approaching the junction. There is simply no excuse for him to drive that fast as that area was quite a narrow area with road works and construction. Moreover with that double decker having to drive slowly through that narrow area after turning from the left side of the junction into the road where bus 80 is driving at. I wonder what happen to the driver's basic sense of judgement. Common sense can tell not to drive that fast when approaching a narrow diversion where road works is going on and with slow driving vehicles in front of you.

It was the first time in my life riding a bus and it rammed into another vehicle though it is not a severe crash. However the impact of the bus upon hitting the rear of the double decker is quite hard due to the speed. No one was severely injured though one was bleeding quite considerably on the face. I hope she is alright soon.
