I was too young, but I remember that Yio Chu Kang was the furthest north station. The furthest west station was Clementi, then Jurong East, then Boon Lay.

Yio Chu Kang further extended to Yishun then eventually the loop was closed between Yishun and Jurong East.
 
There would be no need for mrt's or cars if they had introduced pmd's way back in 1987. Infrastructure construction would be so much cheaper. No need for highways.

I remembered taking it with my gf from Outram.....it was only for a few stations as only that few were operational.
 
KNN my uncle took with classmates to orchard Wisma atria but forgot board from where KNN if my uncle remembered correctly there were no interchange at that time Only red line KNN

I remembered the Bee Cheng Hiang store in Chinatown had an local Indian worker who spoke perfect Cantonese.
