In Finland, you get 9 months paid maternity leave (at 70% of your full salary) after the baby is born and you get 1 month paid leave before giving birth. After the 9 months of paid maternity leave you are entitled to stay at home until your child is 3 (you don't get paid but get benefits from social services) and still your job will be there for you when you get back to work.
