Police in Thanh Hoa Province in central Vietnam have fined a man VND6 million (US$260) for taking his hands off the handlebar and even lying flat on the seat while driving his motorbike on a local street.
The police tracked down Do Ngoc Luan, 31, after two videos emerged on Facebook showing him doing different unsafe acts on his motorbike, without wearing the obligatory crash helmet.
He kept posing and smiling to the camera.
He used a national flag to cover his number plate.
Luan told the police he had the videos filmed on July 26 on a rural road, just to “show off.”
