The two ATBs got good lawyers. Our legal system rewards those who are willing to pay for good lawyers.
Eg. A first time offender with a good lawyer is less likely to be jailed even if he was caught with higher level of alcohol in his blood than another chap who represented himself in court with lower alcohol in his blood.

Our court respect Rule of Law.
Those lawyers can argue better.
If you pay for a better lawyer and get you acquitted, that represent money well spend. You deserve to win
