STOMPer Pessimist visited the newly opened Marina Bay Sands resort and discovered that a restaurant there has very few patrons. 'Compared to Genting Highlands, the place seems more sombre and business less brisk," he added.

"These pictures were taken at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) at Bayfront Ave.

"The model of the whole integrated resort was displayed on a square pedestal and in the back ground you can see the rainbow paintings at the reception counter of the hotel.

"The mannequins and the pictures on the shop front looked attractive from afar.

"This classy restaurant looked rather quiet and there were only a few patrons. Compared to the restaurants at Genting Highlands resort our restaurant appeared more sombre and business was not brisk.

"The food court at MBS looked drab and dull and even the decor was a far cry from that of the one at West Mall in Bt Batok.

"There were only a few diners and I wonder how long the stallholders can continue to run their business.

"There is a place where parents leave their kids when they go to the casino to try their luck. I hope parents will not leave their kids here for more than 24 hours when they are too engrossed in the jackpot machines."
