FBI arrests Bangladeshi national in Malaysia wanted for running an international child sexual exploitation enterprise, extradites him to the US​

FBI Director Kash Patel recently posted on X (Twitter) announcing the arrest and extradition of Zobaidul Amin, a 28-year-old Bangladeshi national who has been a wanted fugitive since 2022. He is facing charges for allegedly running an international child sexual exploitation enterprise.

According to the post, Amin was tracked down and arrested right here in Malaysia. As of last night, he was transferred by the FBI from Malaysia back to Alaska to face charges.

The FBI Director specifically thanked the Government of Malaysia, the Legal Attaché (Legat) in Kuala Lumpur, and local Malaysian partners (likely PDRM/Interpol Malaysia) for their assistance in successfully completing this investigation and arrest on Malaysian soil.
