16. Patrick Tan is so nice, that I feel awful about some of my potentially hurtful remarks, when I questioned the preferential treatment he received. Yes, it is unfair for him to serve his NS as a Defence Medical Researcher, while all of us had to do more physically challenging vocations. Some people get to go to top universities, some don't even qualify for a Polytechnic. Problem is we must encourage politicians to ensure their sons pick the MOST COMMON NS pathway to prevent such controversies that can ruin the NS Institution.

17. Patrick Tan is like any son of any father, who cares for his children. The issue arises because we question whether he was given special and preferential treatment because his father was Dr Tony Tan. I do not think Dr Tony Tan PURPOSELY gave him that special treatment, but rather it was the very people in the system eager to please their bosses that created this issue in the first place. I do not blame Dr Tony Tan or his sons for this NS controversy.

18. Patrick Tan is a love-able person, who could easily be your nice boss, your friendly colleague, a loving husband, and father.

19. Patrick Tan is a very humble man, I can imagine he is a good Christian.
