This native Sambar deer was knocked down by a cab at Mandai Road, Singapore, at 1030pm on Monday, 8 Oct 2012.

Sambar deers were previously thought to be extinct in Singapore until a car accident killed one of them in 2010. Just recently in August 2012, another Sambar deer was knocked down at Old Upper Thomson Road, Singapore.

Project: WILD would like to remind all drivers to drive with care especially near nature reserves and parks. Singapore does have many native wildlife such as macaques, pangolins and monitor lizards which have been spotted on the roads at night. Pls SHARE this message with all your friends!
