FAS Zainuddin still fcuking blur about football direction for Singapore

politics have no place in sports.

they need the S-league to satisfy the appetites of FTs...we have / had a Chinese, Jap, French, Korean...now, we just need another indian / bangla team..oops...Indians love cricket more...maybe S-league can part-time have cricket matches...for sure, the stadiums will be filled.

I don't understand the hype about him. He's like the Jack Rodwell of Sinkieland - overrated. If you were to put me through reruns of Zheng Geping's drama serials and force me to pick the most talented young player in Sinkieland, I would have to go with Shahfiq Ghani of Young Lions.

I like Hariss because of his composure on the ball. He's not a great technician but he has a football brain and instincts.
Have never seen Shahfiq play cos I never watch assleague, but your research is usually reliable, although more for betting I suppose.

Rodwell is also a good player, he's not just blood and guts, that's just the way Moyes wants him (and for that matter the rest of the team) to play.

I don't mind Pritam.. We also got so many ex National players who are doing well in their careers... Quah Kim Song, Seah Poh Leong , Auyong Pak Kuan, Leong Kok Fann... Anyone of them can lead the FAS..

Auyong has migrated to Austria with his Austrian wife and family.
Kim Song has been with FAS and SG pools.
Seak has been everything ranging from captain to head coach.
Perhaps it's Kok Fann's turn.

Teo Hock Seng is another to consider. He is a maverick. I am aware he takes good care of his Tampines players even after they retire from playing. But maybe his recent tax case hinders any consideration for him to take the lumber 1 seat.

Yes.... I agree.. Teo Hock Seng would be a good choice.. Read in the papers back then that he has helped many of his Tampines players... Think he even helped out this Tampines Rovers joker who accumulated thousands of dollars in traffic fines...

His passion for the game is genuine. Even takes $$$ out from his wallet to help his players. Best of all, with OBS behind him, $$$ surely no issue. If not for OBS, THS would have been a bankrupt many years ago. His appointment to the #1 seat is anytime better than a PAP man.

I agree with all the names that brother forummers here had suggested are indeed good candidates for the president post. Anyone of them will be able to do a better job than politically appointed one from the PAP. But the reality is that PAP will never allow anyone outside its influence to helm FAS. The soccer following is too large for them to risk it. In any case, FAS in announcing the resignation of the CEO, said there are looking for a replacement in Seak Poh Leong or Leong Kok Fann with a few others. So you see, FAS only consider Seak Poh Leong and Leong Kok Fann worthy of being a CEO only, for in their mind, they already know that the president is not for them to appoint, the PAP will appoint one directly from among its fold. And as long as this is so, soccer in S'pore will continue to be in doldrums. Anything that the PAP touches will just not make it.

PAP's track record is fraught with failures and misjudgments. :)
