Even for promising footballers of mixed ethnicity, if there is a choice they would do their best to not play for Sinkieland or most countries of the AFC, and play for the other country instead.

Even with a population of 281 million, Indonesia strengthened its national football team by naturalising many foreign-born players with Indonesian heritage:

1. Emil Audero (goalkeeper) is a Serie B goalie with experience in Italy's youth setup.
   
2. Joey Pelupessy (midfielder) has experience in Dutch and English leagues.
   
3. Dean James (full-back) is a young defender from the Netherlands.
   
4. Sandy Walsh, Calvin Verdonk, Shayne Pattynama (full-backs) have significantly improved Indonesia's defense.
   
5. Jay Idzes, Jordi Amat, Justin Hubner (centre-backs) have bolstered the defensive line.
   
6. Ivar Jenner, Thom Haye, Nathan Tjoe-A-On (midfielders) provide a strong midfield presence.
   
7. Rafael Struick, Ragna Oratmagoen (strikers) add firepower to the attack.
   
8. Other players include Cyrus Margono (goalkeeper), Elkan Baggott (centre-back), Marc Klok (midfielder) and Jens Raven (striker).

I agree. I hear say that the FAS fuckers just pay themselves much better then the footballers.

The FAS council pay themselves handsomely but have little accountability. They learned how to do so from the PAP.

It doesn't matter. Still a country of the AFC. There are only so many spots for Asian countries in the World Cup, even in the new 'woke and inclusive' format of the 2026 edition.

Those footballers, foreign mercenaries and chup chengs, would not be playing for Indonesia if they had a choice.

Countries like S'pore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines are not looking for world class footballers - only foreign-born players who are able to strengthen their national teams.

Outside of the big 6 clubs in the English Premier League - Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle - the rest of the 14 clubs can only hope to recruit players to strengthen their squads, but not world class talents.
