What have these two pieces of deadwood contributed as far as memory can recall - apart from misery to Sporeans?

SINGAPORE : Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said the decision by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong to step down from the Cabinet is a "major event" for Singapore.

Speaking after a post-election victory parade on Saturday, Mr Lee said he has not yet decided whether to accept their decision, but will likely give his answer by Monday.

He said the move was initiated by both leaders, but he had already known about their intention.

He added that his decision will also affect his new Cabinet line-up.

PM Lee said: "It is a major event for Singapore for two major figures like MM and SM to leave the government. It shows that they are thinking of Singapore and for the future of Singapore. The basic consideration is what is the best approach for forming a team which would be most effective in solving problems and establishing rapport and trust with the people going forward for the next five years."

Major event in Z Minor. A useless note.

It is a major event only because it took THIRTY YEARS since he stepped down from being PM to finally get out of the cabinet.
Wooden Goh's recent performance at the hustings demonstrate how little grey matter he has up there - his own admission that he kicked a few balls towards his own goal post says it all.

What is major is LHL's comments that it will affect the construction of his cabinet - is he saying that he had intended for them to be included?

OR

Is this just a ploy to imply that they were not sacked but being concerned for Singapore, had opted to retire?

Maybe he can get Chiak Leow Bee LBH as consultant - and stop him from crying again?
