I'm jobless for about 2 years and during this period I had finish my master degree course with NUID. I would like to contribute my serve to our local agencies but after applying close to 150 job opening at career.gov.sg, I'm disappointed to said that I cannot even gain an interview.

I would like to understand whether is my academic knowledge or my age is a barrier to gain entry to local government agencies.

I can only applaud the govt agencies' stringent selection process in weeding out non-qualified people like you who cannot even put together simple sentences. How to entrust the provision of public services to you?

Search me, probably he meant National U of Ireland, Dublin. Then again University of Dublin is called Trinity College if I am not mistaken and has links to NUI. Definitely if he has a degree from NUI, I wonder how he got it with such atrocious English.

Distance learning degrees are just like toilet paper in Singapore. For local degrees, only those from NUS/NTU/SMU are regarded well in Civil Service. It's a sad reality but it has to be like that to keep the standards high. :p
