More than 25,000 people turned up at Tiong Bahru park to celebrate the New Year countdown, many of whom are new citizens from Myanmar, Philipines and China.
Organized jointly by Tanjong Pagar grassroots organizations, the party was held specifically with the new citizens and foreigners in mind to make them feel ‘welcomed, accepted and happy’ in Singapore.
Among the dance performances for the night is a Burmese dance troupe specially invited from Myanmar which explained the large number of Burmese in the audience, according to a Chinese tabloid which was full of ‘praise’ about how Singaporeans are ‘integrating’ well with the foreigners at the party.
Due to the PAP regime’s ultra-liberal immigration and pro-foreigner policies, foreigners now make up nearly 40 percent of Singapore’s population, up from 14 percent in 1990.
As too many immigrants were accepted within too short a period of time, Singapore is now experiencing problems integrating all of them and the PAP regime has kindly splurged $10 million dollars of taxpayers’ monies on a ‘Community Integration Fund’ to serve this purpose.
Not only are Singaporeans exhorted repeatedly to ‘embrace’ the immigrants who do not have to serve NS like Singapore males with an ‘open heart’, they are also ‘encouraged’ to celebrate their cultural festivals as well.
In his New Year message, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong reminded Singaporeans of the ‘importance’ of keeping Singapore ‘welcoming’ to talents.
Judging from the enthusiasm displayed by Singaporeans at the party, they must be ‘honored’ to be ‘integrating’ well with these rare ‘foreign talents’ the PAP regime is mass importing to keep the ’spurs stuck in their hides.’
