CONSUMERS should think twice about thawing frozen meat in their kitchen sinks - a practice fairly common in Singapore - said the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) in a statement yesterday.
The issue came to light after comments on Sunday by North West District Mayor Teo Ho Pin, who suggested that residents 'let food thaw on its own in the sink' as opposed to thawing food in the microwave.
