The PAP grassroots leaders from Bukit Batok appeared to be unfazed by the outcry they sparked in cyberspace by organizing a water festival in April this year.
Many netizens slammed the event as a waste of public funds and water to organize festivals for foreigners, spawning a series of Facebook groups, petitions as well as complaints to government agencies.
The PAP grassroots leader who came up with the idea Madam Susan Lim slammed netizens for protesting against the water festival.
“To me, the protest does not make sense. We didn’t organise it only for Myanmar or Thai residents. It was for all residents,” she was quoted as saying in the Straits Times.
Another PAP grassroots leader fro Myanmar Ms Chan Leng Leng is nonchalant at the response from Singaporeans:
“Frankly speaking, I know that I am not welcomed by those people. But there are many welcoming people in Singapore,” she said.
Despite the unhappiness expressed by Singaporeans, including some Bukit Batok residents, the PAP-led grassroots organization went ahead with the event which attracted more than 3,000 people, the majority of whom are foreigners.
When asked by an irate netizen about the aim of organizing the water festival, PAP MP Grace Fu replied as a matter of fact that it is a way of showing foreigners that Singaporeans “welcome” them.
The pro-foreigner PAP has been splashing out millions of dollars of taxpayers’ monies to woo the immigrants to its side in order to perpetuate its political hegemony in Singapore.
A mega $10 million dollar Community Integration Fund was unveiled last year to make the newcomers feel accepted, welcomed and happy in Singapore.
The next general election may be the last opportunity for native Singaporeans to reclaim their nation from the PAP after which they will surely be relegated to being a second class minority behind the hordes of immigrants coming from China and elsewhere.
