Prevent MLM firms from recruiting students

I WOULD like to share my concern about multi-level marketing (MLM) companies recruiting students to sell their products.
They are taking advantage of their weakness, which is, to make fast cash. This is wrong as students should be focusing on their studies instead.
I know of two students who were swayed into joining such companies. Some students have even skipped school to sell the products.
Is there anything that can be done to stop this dirty tactic of luring naive teenagers? I am worried that more students will be attracted to this and throw away their future just like that.
