My dear fellow Members and Readers out here, please do share my
candid encounter calling up CHAS over the eligibility for myself and my wife for
this CHAS Scheme…!!!

I spoke to one Miss Kasha with CHAS on 13 December 2013 at 1.45 pm and in
order for her to decide whether I qualify for this CHAS Scheme, I told her all
the truth in this manner:

1) Both my daughter (a single) and my wife are residing together with me and
only my daughter is working and have a gross monthly income of about $5,000. We
are all staying in a 4-Room HDB flat in Sembawang. Both myself and my wife have
retired due to poor health..!!

2) My son who is married has 2 kids and they are residing at Fernvale HDB
public housing and their combined monthly income is about $5,000 gross.

3) My son and his wife (my daughter-in-law) and the 2 kids (my 2
grandchildren) have their NRIC address registered using my place of residence at
Sembawang but actually and physically they go back to Fernvale every night to
sleep since this is their HDB flat they have bought to stay and for the
reason:

(a) Since both my son and daughter-in-law are working, we as grandparents
have taken on the role of helping them send the elder grandson to primary school
everyday and to help take care of the granddaughter since she is only 2 months
old.

(b) In order for both our grandchildren to be taken care by us and be sent to
a nearby school in or around the Sembawang vicinity, my son and daughter-in-law
ARE FORCED TO REGISTER their respective residential address in Sembawang even
they are NOT PHYSICALLY STAYING TOGETHER WITH US…!!!

According to Miss Kasha of CHAS, WE ARE NOT ELIGIBLE OR EVEN QUALIFY TO APPLY
FOR THIS CHAS because our household combined income exceeds the requirement
limit…!!!

Obviously it shows that PAP has created this CHAS Scheme or Service simply
for show to naive Singaporeans and outsiders that the PAP Government cares for
their Citizens BUT ACTUALLY IT IS JUST FOR SHOW…!!!

With all these type of Restrictions and Red-Tapes placed across all the
supportive documents that are required to be submitted, may we delve deep into
the question – HOW MANY OF THOSE WHO ACTUALLY QUALIFY FOR THIS CHAS CARD ENDED
UP NOT BEING ELIGIBLE..??

To conclude, if you people are going to trust the PAP, you are digging your
own graves…!!!

problem with our government is that they assume if one has children or siblings,
they are supposed to help take care of you but the government never considers
that your children or siblings may have problems of their own. Regardless how
many children or siblings one has, all are Singaporeans who have helped build
Singapore. As NMP Laurence Lien says, every generation is a pioneer generation
and should be treated as one.

pls leh. most parents in sinkie wished their kids earned 5000+a month and can afford to raise grandchildren. they should wait until their children refuse to pay support, then contact CHAS again, or sue their own children for money like every other fucking brainless shameless babyboomer in sinkie!!

You are right!

After a 7 month battle did MOH concededf and gave my wife a blue tier card.
Our son stays with us & is jobless since Ju;y but does not qualify for blue tier despite our average household income is zero

Also blue tier does not pay for anti flu jab. Why not esp it is need for cardiac patients for added protection. En Polyclinic charges $27 while SGH charges much less?

The whole friggin thing is a scam.......... Healthcare makes so much money but return so little to the poor

I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND sinGAPOREANS? THEY ARE OF THE MOST EDUCATED PEOPLE ON THIS EATH & the stupidest of them all. How could they day in day out believe the present day government who churn one after another "smoke screen" like this CHAS.

When they started this CHAS, I was a frequent visitor at the hospital, visiting!!.... there was this booth, more of a table & a chair with a huge banner advertising this CHAS. From the distance it was quite impressive with the "sales talk"...but I am wary of any government "freebies". Day after day I pass that booth with that lady sitting there, with the pile of brochures. Curious I say, if this was really that good, you were see a queue & the brochures will disappear faster that you say "when!". So, I took one to read...

A family must have a combine income of $x,xxx to qualify...that means the entire family member each have to earn less that $800 a month. SO, SINgaporeans when are you going to WAKE UP. The "Pioneers" will qualify for CHAS according to "sales talk"....but what will the income ceiling be? per person or per household? If you live in a Landed property, condominium etc..will you QUALIFY!

YOU WORK HARD OVER THE LAST 30-50 YEARS.....& YOUR GOVERNMENT F@#$%#@K YOU GOOD! ha ha ha ha WAKE UP!

CHAS IS ANOTHER OF THEIR "SMOKE SCREEN" to INCREASE MEDICAL FESS PLUS GST!! huat ah!

I forgot....to ask...WHOM DID THESE PEOPLE VOTE FOR IN SEMBAWANG??

To future readers, ignore the retards above. Retard A made use of his location to apply for a school. He can burn in hell for depriving a resident of a slot. Retard B simply does not know what he is talking about. There are more than one bracket for subsidies. 800 is the lowest. And that's income divided by number of family members. Many I know are on it.
