He is the popular choice to step into the LionsXII job in the wake of V. Sundramoorthy's resignation - and Fandi Ahmad is open to the idea of taking it up.

The former Singapore star striker told The Straits Times yesterday that he is willing to renew ties with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

"I must listen to what the FAS has to say before committing myself to anything," said Fandi, who left the FAS fold in 2006 to coach in Malaysia and Indonesia.

"I want to know what role it has in mind for me and what it wants me to do."

No way, look at his hand.... he is aiming at second place only.

I dun follow local soccer anymore. Why sundram resigned? I thot he won something with the lion XII?

Have not been following local football since sundram and fandi retired from playing.

Tell him that he is coaching the Lions Team in Sinkapore and not the teams in Europe. So pls do not ask for the sky in terms of pay.

Not an ardent fan of any sport either, but heard over the news that Sundram was offered twice his salary (last heard about 8k). So, at 16k, it is a big fat paycheck. I wonder when he eventually signs the contract whether it will reveal whether in Sin Dollar or Ringgit. Either way, if he resides in Negri Sembilan, he can still live rich.

Cheers!

Fandi not popular with the establishment. So they will hire a foreign trash over him.

Sinkieland is expensive. Dun begrudge if he asks for market value.
I'm sure FAS pay the former and current FT coaches more than what they are worth.
Or check out how much those fucktards FAS management cronies pay themselves....I'm sure its not a pittance. And yet Singapore soccer is going backwards.

PAP created the rot.

Knowing that the FAS is run by a PAP fucktard MP and their board members full of PAP lackeys, I doubt they will give Fandi the chance to get the job especially after he criticised them back then...

Singapore football's all brown team. Table tennis all yellow. We need a sport that half keeling bastard Jah_rastafar's keling smelling brothers and sisters can form an all black team for.

Won't be long before Peesai gives publicity to a home cricket team. Enough of them at my condo, 'cept they're mostly quite fat.

Cheers!

Jah_rastafuck for coach! His being the son of an Indian and his stinking keling smell is all the qualification needed!

news here reported Negri contract USD25,000/- (SGD31,250/-) double his current FAS package USD12,500 x 1.25 = SGD15,625/-

"Media reports from across the causeway have placed the Malaysia Super League winning coach's monthly wages for Negeri Sembilan at USD25,000, a two-fold increase from his current salary with the LionsXII."

I hope this time some chump MP dun say Fandi got no O Levels and therefore does not deserve a high salary.

Which chump MP said this years ago?

You don't have to worry. Going by the current trend in demographics, it won't be long before cricket becomes a national sport.

So... support Mumbai Indians or Rajasthan Royals?
