I don't see a credible Malay oppostion chap. If there was one, this would be a great opportunity for him to strengthen his position within his own community. He just needs to echo some of the points our bros made in this forum.

You can dislike or disagree with him, but don't doubt his politically savvy.
My guess is that oldman plans to step down, and this is a great opportunity for the son to strongly disagree with him and gain favour with many people in SG, as well as outside SG.
