These drivers are stupid - cheat small amounts of money and risk getting convicted and barred from driving taxi

Taxi drivers have a stable income if they put in 8 to 10 hours a day after deducting the time for breaks and makan

Government also protects the industry by allowing only locals to drive

I think they should also only allow locals to man the taxi call line

Very irritating when Comfort's call line foreign staff are not properly trained, eg. don't know where People's Park is.

that's why i stay away from apps for taking call, i prefer to roam the streets pick up on the way. when there many fellow colleagues taking calls, i just ply the street for jobs.:o this is known as balancing the demand and supply.:p

this logic is derived from our transport system, everybody choose to knock off at 6pm, i will choose either 4pm or 8pm to knock off, so as no to get squeezed in the buses or mrt. this is the art of balancing, i believe this year, world economy will also behave this way, i shan't believe that america will progress further. it has to balance itself with japan, china and europe as well.
