Fake PhD holders steal market

The Ministry of Higher Education recently revealed that a large number of citizens obtained their degrees from 100 fake and 30 unrecognized universities. It said there were more than 51,000 forged certificates in the Kingdom, including masters and PhD degrees.
I believe that this figure is low judging by the hectic quest for high degrees during the past 10 years. We find that overnight, people add the letters "PhD" to his or her title.

Honorary PhD for $69?
How about honorary doctorates? A common practice in the USA is to receive an honorary PhD, which lets you add the letters PhD or Dr. in front of your name, and it s very easy to get one. An organization called LADC Institute in California, for example, awards honorary PhDs for $69 donations, and it s totally legitimate according to their website because they can legally issue them. Do these people deserve to be called PhDs is the real question.
