NST July 13th

POLICE yesterday recovered a body who they believe was real estate agent Tang Yong Ching who went missing on July 5.

His body was found yesterday on the banks of a stream behind several shophouses in Ara Damansara here.

Two Pakistani students have been detained by police to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Police got a breakthrough two days after Tang was reported missing when they picked up a 25-year-old Pakistani student who attempted to use Tang’s debit card.

Despite being arrested, the suspect refused to assist police in their investigations, but finally cracked yesterday and led police to the victim’s body.

It is learnt that the body was highly decomposed. He was just clad in his underwear and there were several wounds on his body. The body has been sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital mortuary where a DNA test will be done to confirm the identity.

The suspect also led police to Tang’s silver Toyota Innova, which was parked by the roadside in Jalan PJU 3/44 in Sunway Damansara.

Police then arrested a second suspect, 20, also a Pakistani, to assist in their investigations.

It is learnt the first suspect entered Malaysia on a student visa, but worked as a security guard, while the second suspect is studying at a private college here.

The suspects were believed to have made an appointment to see Tang to view a property on the day he was reported missing.

Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed said police were still looking for several other suspects to facilitate investigations.
