6.9k shares of FB at $32 is $220,800. Back in 2012 I dont have that much money. Maybe I could have bought 690 shares then.

one thing about stocks......a lot of the real returns is position sizing also.

We tend not to buy big on high risk. So unless very gutsy bet a lot then can have big return. But then also can lose.

I never thought of 23 and me in this manner. But good idea. This is something like the knowledge based economy type of situation before. build a database then sell that information to interested parties (which was essentially kind of what FB did except it was advertising money they got instead of R&D).

I think they announced a partnership with GSK last year.

Very interesting. I will spend some time researching more on these companies.

A lot depends on position sizing too right? I find that's where I need to know more in order to convince myself ok I will buy this much of this company.

if someone bought 10 shares of FB at $32 and now is $350........it is only $3500 nia. Sure can boast wah I made 10,000% return .....so what?
