When the greedy PAP govt threw open the floodgates to these beloved FTs, it should have had the foresight to predict inevitable social tensions.
This is not a uniquely Singapore phenomenon. UK, Australia etc are also experiencing similar tensions.

It's just like getting concerned about problem gambling only after two casinos have been built. Seriously?

Misplaced priorities? Incompetence? Or just plain myopic?

1) Misplaced Priorities - Definitely! Their priority has been & will be to enriched their own pocket & clans, the welfare of singaporeans are never in their lists. Just look at all the policies that are in place for labour, economies & national development!

2) Incompetence - Is there an actual need to highlight?
