From the article,

http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking+News/Singapore/Story/STIStory_318515.html

It says "From January 2009, all passengers would be able to exchange their old ez-link cards for the new ones, for free."

then,

"The new Ez-link card will be available at $15, with a $5 fixed cost and $10 in stored value."

May I ask if the $5 is refundable, that is, similar to the $2 deposit that is used for our current cards?:(

i like the idea of able to use in fast food and 7-11.

i like cashless card.

Its a trade mark for all chinese all over the world.

If you don't cheat you are not Chinese.

How do you think the Chinese in Singapore become rich?

They cheat at one another. It's a culture

This is another tracking device much like your cell phone.

It's a s good as implanting a chip under your skin.

They also tell you the EZ LINK card is not linked to your IC but you must show your IC to verify that you have not exchanged or receive twice. YOU BELIEVE?:D

those cards' collectors will have their value wipe out just like that.
