I go McDonald's order 1 large fries and 1 large coke share with my ex housemate. McDonald's never complain or chase me out.

Kopitam too. I saw a family order a bowl of noodle, and ask for one extra empty bowl. Usually, western foods quite expensive and came in big portion. An elderly woman cannot finish it and asked if anyone, around the table, wanted the fries. Eventually, she still left behind 2/3 of her western foods, unfinished. In this regard, 1 set 1 individual meal makes no sense if sharing is not allowed.

I suspect, the restaurant in question is run by PAPPPY cronies. Wanted to milk the maxim out of the diners.

It's time to boycott this fucking restaurant. What I want to do with my order is none of their business and from their spokesperson's reply: "To clarify, our ordering policy is straightforward: each set meal is designed and portioned for one individual diner", it seems that he's not remorseful at all and won't admit to their fault.

This is budget teppanyaki but it’s still same type of seating at the table/counter top teppanyaki style.

Then they might as well put up a notice at their entrance to say they charge according to the number of heads, just like in a buffet spread. This kind of snobbish restaurant I will never patronize.
