I think this is an inevitable consequence of not only the PAP doing what it pleases, but more importantly part of the deal when Singapore signed a FTA with China. A typical FTA not only allows for free trade of goods and services, but also the free flow of human capital.

Singapore gives China jobs and scholarships. In exchange, China gives Singapore a large pool of cheap labour, and parcels of lands in China to develop (e.g. Capitaland and Raffles City). Seemingly a win-win deal, but at whose expense?

Now do you understand why there are protests whenever there's a WTO meeting going on? Those protesters are not doing it because they have too much free time. Entire societies and industries have been wiped out in the name of 'free trade'. Only globalists scumbags insist that free trade is good for everyone (which is not).

Last year a crazy young PRC girl, probably 18 to 20 years old, entered my office uninvited and approached me. She said angrily that her bastard boyfriend has abandoned her, and ask me for a job. I told her to get lost.

By now,the world knows China is a huge market to tap on.Its like feeding a sleeping dragon not knowing how it will react when it awakes from its slumber.But China is merely one of the countries Singapore has FTA with.It is the third largest while EU is top on sg list.

THe problems we see now is because China is fast growing,evidently not able to meet up to the global expectations of developed nations.China knows the rules of engagment but it finds difficulty keeping them because of its sheer potential as a world power.Socially,most PRCs do not even know how China society will become like in the future thus leading to many of them flocking to stable countries like HK and sg for work and migration.This also explains why PRCs are willing to take up a difficult life overseas when life could be easier back home with its familar cultures and lifestyles.
