Exchange Rates for RM

is it cheaper to do a bank transfer of SGD 40k to malaysia's external a/c as compared to remit via exchanger @ S$10 per sey?

When you do a bank TT direct to your malaysia bank a/c the good thing is there is no 10k limit.
But the forex rate is determined by the malaysia bank , not local bank.
For large amounts the difference can be in thousands.

Thanks for the tip, typh00n.

Many remittance company do not want to TT for non Malaysian. Anyone can recommend decent remittance that still provide such service for Singaporean?

I always TT in Jurong Point, Dollar Exchange. The rate is the same as Raffles and All Best in Juoring Point. If you think that the TT rate is good, can lock in the rate for the next 2 days TT. But need to pay the next 2 days commission too. The maximum amount for remittance is RM9,990. Commision is S$10 per TT.
