A dismissed SingTel engineering officer who damaged telecommunication installations in 12 housing estates was jailed for 15 months on Monday.

The total damage caused by Terrance Tan Khoon Shan amounted to $185,820.

The now-unemployed 35-year-old had admitted to 60 counts of cutting OpenNet's fibre optic cables in the splicing boxes last year. The cables support the new ultra-fast, fibre broadband network.

Another 557 similar charges were taken into consideration during his sentencing.

Why does he do that for?

Obviously, you've never heard of the term 'disgruntled employee'.

Usually, the company/management/HR is to be blamed too, for creating their own monster.

Overwork, underpay and treat you like shit = ticking time bomb waiting to happen.
A little welfare and kindness go a long way in retaining your employees and letting them excel in their work.

Thank God he cut cables and not people's throats.

Beware of The Cable Guy!!
