Former Aljunied GRC MP Cynthia Phua had sleepless nights after learning of the Tampines crash that killed brothers Nigel, 13, and Donavan Yap, seven.
After all, her two-year-old daughter was killed by a minibus outside her home in 1993. The pain still hits her hard 20 years later.
Madam Phua, 54, agreed to this interview as she hoped it will help others understand the pain parents go through after losing a child suddenly.
“It is also for these parents to know they are not alone in their suffering,” she said.
