even indian ft wants to leave

His problem was not just that the costs of living went up, it is more that he got married. Anyway, when he returns to India, he will remember why he left India in the first place (he cannot make it there).

At least he has the option to say the he is not happy here and can return home anytime he wanted. Now that he has milked enough of this country Singaporeans have painstakingly build, what is Singaporeans going to do next? Continue to vote for PAP or take back our land from foreigners.

This Neh needs to be sensitive to politics of envy and not look at the cup as half empty. He's got a lot going for him and should continue to work in Singapore for as long as its profitable. Then he should renounce his PR status and take his CPF money with him and retire comfortably in his motherland.

1. Neh has a decent job that pays 5.5k.
2. Neh is not forced to serve NS unlike local Ah Beng. No IPPT, RT or in-camp callup.
3. Neh has sufficient disposable income to rent a modest apartment.
4. As a result Neh is not enslaved by the 30 yr housing mortage. He can leave any time.
5. As he leaves for good he can take his CPF sum with him. He is not subject to the minimum withdrawal sum or retirement age.
6. Neh has his retirement (CPF) with him and will not spend his twilight years cleaning toilets or selling tissue paper like local Ah Beng to make ends meet.

Why is that? Is the local Ah Beng afraid of the competition? This Ah Neh isn't exactly what I could call "cheap FT" at $5.5k/mth. So that puts paid the theory Ah Beng can comfort himself with - "I lost my job to a cheap Ah Neh FT". It more like "I lost out to a better candidate".

He also mentioned that his peers back home are earning between 3.5-4k in SG terms. That means these Nehs wouldn't set foot in SG for anything less than 5k at least.

As China and India take centrestage as the world number 1 and 2 economies, more and more of these people will go back to their countries to enjoy the fruits of their economic success.

And future Singapore? We will be saddled with the stinking third world refugees of pinoy/viety/Burmese/indon!

5K real salary or 5K inflated by agent to get the permit. How much also did the agent paid PAP dogs under the table to grand permits for these people?

Do not confuse the Neh for a bangala worker who is easily exploited. He is a PR and is not on work permit. Call these Nehs what you will but one thing I can tell you - these guys are not stupid. They do not deal with sleazy Chink agencies. These Nehs work for reputable brand names offshore banks like Citibank, RBS, Deutche, etc and consulting/IT firms like HP, EDS, CSC, IBM, etc. Procter & Gamble - check it out. And these Nehs are not cheap hires.

Let me tell you what sinkies will do.

Sinkies will continue to bend down to let the PAP govt to screw as they have no balls to fight back. Some even turn back and ask if they are screwing them comfortably or not , they can bend down further for them.

The only thing sinkies can do is to come to this forum and complain how much pain their ass is after all the screwing. And nothing will change.

Is 5-6k a month a lot? I thought most FT were on >8k a month? How much does the equivalent Singporean person make in the same profession?
