SINGAPORE – To ease traffic congestion on the roads, Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will go up by S$1 at four expressway locations within eight time periods from 1 August.
The locations are: AYE after Jurong Town Hall towards City (a set of three gantries), Southbound CTE after Braddell Road and PIE slip road into Southbound CTE (a set of four gantries), KPE (ECP) after Defu Flyover, and Northbound CTE after PIE (a set of two gantries).

In a press statement on Wednesday (27 July), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that this is due to traffic build-up, as seen from its traffic monitoring in June and July.
The "further easing of community and workplace measures from 26 April" was cited as a contributing factor.
In May, the LTA had announced the increase of ERP rates – also by S$1 – at eight locations across 19 periods, staggered across dates in May and June.
These remain unchanged, the LTA said.

As the current changes affect time slots that are already priced currently, "there is no increase in the total number of time slots or locations charged with ERP with this review", the LTA said.
"After the adjustment from 1 August, the number of locations and time slots charged is still significantly lower than the number charged pre-COVID," the LTA added. "LTA will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need to be further adjusted."

Those 'free' vaccines, tokens, masks, hand sanitizer, CDC vouchers and NS credits?

Time to pay back everything now.

Lucky I don't have any business in town.
All this money grabbing exercise, like GST and refusal to lower tariffs, levies and taxes in the face of mounting inflation points to one thing:
SG actually has no money. Probably not far from srilanka. Even the national debt is almost 130% GDP. The highest in Asia.

Again, who did you voted for?
