Erdogan: “Resurrection of Hagia Sophia” heralds “return of freedom to al-Aqsa,” revival of Islam Uzbekistan to Spain

Since mainstream analysts routinely downplay or ignore altogether the existence of political Islam, they will miss the implications of this. That could be just as disastrous as the dismissal of Mein Kampf by European analysts in the 1920s, who never took seriously the possibility that in it, Hitler had provided a precise articulation of his sinister goals.

“Turkey vows to ‘liberate Al-Aqsa’ after turning Hagia Sophia to mosque,” by Seth J. Frantzman, Jerusalem Post, July 11, 2020:

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to “liberate al-Aqsa mosque” from Israel after “resurrecting Hagia Sophia” as a mosque on Friday.
The decision to change the status of the ancient Hagia Sophia church, which had been transformed into a mosque in 1453 and then into a museum in 1934, was made controversially last week.
It follows an increasingly religious authoritarian agenda from Ankara that has made Turkey the world’s largest jailer of journalists, seen dissidents imprisoned for “terrorism” and witnessed increasing military invasions of neighboring countries by Turkey.
The resurrection of Hagia Sophia heralds the liberation of the al-Aqsa mosque, the Turkish Presidency website says. “The resurrection of Hagia Sophia is the footsteps of the will of Muslims across the world to come… the resurrection of Hagia Sophia is the reignition of the fire of hope of Muslims and all oppressed, wrong, downtrodden and exploited.”
The speech, which was in Turkish, was translated slightly differently to Arabic and English, apparently as a way to hide part of Ankara’s full views on how it has linked Hagia Sophia to a wider agenda.
In Arabic the speech says that turning Hagia Sophia into a mosque is part of the “return of freedom to al-Aqsa,” essentially meaning Israel should be ejected from controlling Jerusalem’s Old City where al-Aqsa is located.
Turkey’s president linked the decision to reviving Islam from Bukhara in Uzbekistan to Andalusia in Spain. This terminology, linking al-Aqsa in Jerusalem to Hagia Sophia and Spain, is a kind of coded terminology for a wider religious agenda. In the Turkish translation the same reference to Spain does not appear to be included as in the Arabic….

The turkish pig erdogan is losing popularity in turkey, where many of the youths are now atheists in reality moslem in name. No-compulsion islam forces moslems to remain moslem and more young turks are recognizing the bullshit of their islamic religion. Pig erdogan is simply doing this to win some votes. Maybe his party can win back istanbul from the turkish oppies.

There are currently two sides in middle east conflicts if we omit israel, kurds and other minorities.
Team "A" consist8ng of Saudi, egypt, UAE and maybe kuwait who is a reluctant entrant.
And Team "B", which includes turkey, qatar and possibly iran.
Both are embroiled in skirmishes all over middle east.
From iraq to syria, yemen to libya.
Egypt has threatened to invade libya if turkish troops did not pull out.
UAE has a feud with saudi over how to settle the yemen war. And parts of saudi is now under yemen control in the south.

Moslems will kill moslems and blame it on US, Israel, NATO, Jews, Christians.

Every time ISIS or Al Qaeda slaughters shia or sunni civilians in Iraq, moslem keyboard warriors will blame it on US bombs instead of the moslem terrorist groups. It has to do with sharing the same religious beliefs as the terrorists.

Here is the problem.
Muslims think by going deeper into religion, it may solve their problems.
They did not think that mohamad was tying to get them away from religion.
So by going deeper, they will only get more problems.

Lots of people do not realise istanbul was a roman city. Centre of orthodox Christianity.
You can find ruins of roman cities all over middle east. In syria, jordan apart from turkey.
And roman ruins in tunisia, libya too. Part of the conquered carthage territory.

No matter how many muslims kill one another, it pales in comparison to the chinese method of annihilation against fellow chinese. Even japanese cannot match those figures.

Muslims, do not stop killing each other. The more you kill the more virgins in heaven waiting for you.

In modern day, moslems kill each other but blame it on the Americans. You can also see that behavior in our islamists in this forum.

If piggie erdogan learns to keep quiet, Turkey should be able to keep Istanbul. But if he stirs too much shit, he may unwittingly spark off a regional war with Russia who is Orthodox Christian, and it may very well lead to the loss of Istanbul. Turkey may be part of NATO, but be very clear, NATO is not going to intervene militarily to save Turkey's ass if the regional war with Russia is about the fate of Constantinople only. NATO doesn't like Turkey and Turkey doesn't like NATO either despite being a NATO member.

The world is not perfect as there is islam!

The areas around the Black Sea region used to be all moslem ottoman. The Russians repeatedly defeated moslem ottomans in the 18th and 19th centuries and took over all those lands and ended islam there and in many parts of the Balkans. Few ppl

erdogan should not be dumb enough to get too ottoman. They have a poor track record when it comes to fighting against russia. Few people, especially turks, read about Russia-Ottoman wars.

Those places became moslem from the 14th and 15th century, when ottoman empire was militarily strong. And by that, I also mean that most people who read history tend to focus on Ottoman victories in the Balkans and eastern europe.

Few people read about the wars between Russia and the Ottoman empire when the ottomans were still militarily very strong. The Russian state beat the ottomans again and again, and played a decisive role in greatly shrinking Ottoman territory in the Balkans and taking practically all Ottoman territories around the Black Sea and the Caucasus regions.

Middle East Getting Crappier Than Ever

Its been a while since I wrote about the Middle East. Why do I make an attempt to keep you updated about the goings on in the Middle East? Well the affairs of the Middle East are very important for the mental health of over 1.5 billion people around the world. Hence it is important to keep track of what ailments are befalling the Middle East. I hope it may help us keep our sanity as well.

The Turkish Caliph Erdogan has formalised the "conversion" of the Hagia Sofia, the old Christian cathedral into a mosque beginning this month July 2020. The Christian cathedral was built circa 450 AD. It was turned into a mosque by the Turkish Ottomans circa 1453 AD, then turned into a museum by the modern Kemal Attaturk Turks in 1934. Now Caliph Erdogan has turned it into a mosque.

Here is some Wikipedia : "The name "Hagia Sophia" is the Greek translation of Holy or Divine Wisdom. It also has different names: Ayasofya in Turkish and Sancta Sophia in Latin. The name Hagia Sophia appeared to be the structure’s name at about 430 CE."

So even the Turks use the "christian name" Ayasofya. This "conversion" of the Hagia Sophia into a mosque has excited many Muslims and predictably also attracted criticism from other peoples as well - Muslims and non Muslims alike.

Dear villagers, pleeeease do not get over excited. There is more to Caliph Erdogan's scheming than creating a new mosque. It is pure political survival - his own survival. Here is some quick analyses from Middle East sources :

resurrection of Hagia Sophia heralds Liberation of Al-Aqsa mosque, Erdogan
Erdogan vowed to “liberate al-Aqsa” after “resurrecting Hagia Sophia”

decision to change ancient Hagia Sophia made last week

  • increasingly religious authoritarian agenda from Ankara
  • Turkey world’s largest jailer of journalists
  • dissidents imprisoned for “terrorism”
  • increasing military invasions of neighboring countries
resurrection of will of Muslims across the world to come
reignition of fire of hope of Muslims

speech translated slightly differently to Arabic and English
to hide Ankara’s wider agenda
In Arabic it says Hagia Sophia part of “return of freedom to al-Aqsa”

Erdogan linked the decision to reviving Islam from Bukhara to Andalusia
Andalusia is coded terminology for wider agenda

Ankara’s ambitions larger than Hagia Sophia

Erdogan's AK Party is rooted in Muslim Brotherhood
Turkey seeks influence across region with like-minded countries
such as Qatar and Libya

Turkey seeking to supplant Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan as determiner of “Islam”
larger religious militarist agenda in Middle East

Turkey invaded eastern Syria in Oct 2019
depopulated Kurdish region of Afrin in Syria in Jan 2018
Turkey fights in Libya’s civil war
In June, Turkey launched airstrikes in Iraq against Kurds

My comments :

Remember a few weeks ago some people here were talking about drunk driving and alchohol issues?

Others are now pursuing the LGBT matter again.

Well Erdogan has found the Hagia Sophia issue quite useful.

These are politicians. They run political parties. Political parties need to grab power. Or hold on to power. Too often they make mountains out of molehills. Especially when they only have molehills.

This issue of the Hagia Sophia does not add a single cent into the pockets of the average Turk. Turkey is still facing severe economic issues. The Turkish people are hurting just like many other people.

Hagia Sophia, Muslim Brotherhood etc do not make the lives of the average Turk any less miserable.

These are just diversions to distract peoples' attention away from the failure of the politicians to uplift the quality of life of the Turkish people. The same tactics are being used here.

When the Turks wake up in the morning, they will still have to set the table for breakfast, go to work, earn a living and get back home to eat dinner, watch TV and go to bed. The next morning the routine starts all over again. Prices keep going up. Their currency keeps depreciating. Life gets tougher. That aspect of their lives will likely not change much.

Instead of making the lives of the Turkish people easier and better, the Caliph Erdogan is promising them imaginary conquests and delusions of grandeur.

So dear friends, especially those of you who are easily swayed by the penjual air liur, tolonglah jangan terbawa-bawa dihanyutkan oleh air liur mereka.

We live in a real world with real issues and real problems that require real world solutions.

These '1001 Arabian Nights' type stories are just imaginary fables to fool the people with silly entertainment. Their target is not Andalusia or Hagia Sophya. Their target is you. They need to fool you first. Only then they become rich.

I'm just hoping that piggie erdogan's antics unwittingly spark off a regional Balkan war that otherwise wouldn't happen, and it would end with Turkey losing Thrace. Guerilla warfare like in afghanistan wouldn't work in the Balkans because the locals would simply shoot every turk in sight and depopulate all their towns and villages. Guerilla warfare only works when the stronger side agrees not to shoot every villager in sight, like the French occupation of Spain during the Napoleonic Wars, the German occupation of France or even the modern wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
