Another epic failure when attempting escape through the hole. He put one foot out in which he will have difficulty when he should have exited either head out or both legs out first.

Also wrong timing for the police officers to come in. Timing will be good when the robber makes the correct way of exit through the hole so the officers can either grab his upper or lower body half.
