end of mth...clusterfuck

So if it's a tiong u will at least say something and same for a local but if it's a keling you won't do anything? Confirm again?
irregardless tiong, local, keling etc, i will at least say sumting.:)

I see so why did you let that keling get away with starting another line?

I think perhaps we could look at this another way: Maybe the people who were around me, kept quiet because they didn't want to confront the indian fella while they were a) carrying a huge amount of cash (for deposit), or b) carrying their passbooks with them.

Could end up getting robbed or something, you know?

Regarding my experience with the indian fella, it was really very obvious to see that he "appeared" at the queue with deliberate intent to make trouble, because usually when you see only 1 queue when there are 2 (or more) machines, only either one of the below is true.

a) The other machines are not working.
b) There is a single queue for all the machines.

If it's case a), yes, you could probably ask the person in the queue where is the Q, and then move behind once they tell you there's only 1 single queue.

If it's case b), then you should still move behind and queue behind the single queue.

There's no reason to start your own queue and demanding the right of way when everyone else is there already forming a single queue. If you do that, it is obvious you are a troublemaker... no?

There are plenty other cases where you have 1 single queue forming for all machines/tellers/counters, e.g., SG Pools kiosk, banks, etc...

In another case, I was in a single queue for 2 cash deposit machines, when a teen appeared and waltzed right up to the other empty deposit machine (I mean, wtf? If you see a single queue for 2 machines, did you REALLY think the people didn't queue up for that machine just to let YOU come up to use it like *that*?). The uncle who was next in line fugged the kid promptly, telling him to look at the queue behind and to scram to the back.

The kid kept quiet and quietly went behind to queue like everyone else. Kinda funny though...

buddy, did i miss sumting? i tink u gt the wrong person bah?

I was commenting on sadfcuk incident. itz not me involve wif the keling who started another Q.
One middle-aged indian fella came right up just when the guy in front of me went up to the next available machine (so I became next in line). He went to the guy behind me and asked me where's the Q.

The guy behind me said "here" (pointing to the single Q). The indian fella came up to me and asked me why only 1 queue, why must have 1 queue only. I told him 1 queue allows everyone to move along faster (recounting my experience from #1). Not to mention the previous people formed 1 queue, so I did as well.

He then tried to stand beside me to form a 2nd Q.

When the next guy left the machine, I cut him off and went up to do my cash deposit.

He started making a big fuss and complaining about this and that, saying Singaporeans like to complain, like to think they are big, like to Q this and that, all the irrational remarks from an insane man.

When I left, I turned and gave him one last look before I left. The guy behind me had tio jiak by this Indian motherfucker. The Indian fella stood beside him and formed his own 2nd Q while there were 6-7 people in the single Q (originally).

Nobody behind said a word as the 2nd queue was started by this motherfucker in the middle of the single queue.

Living breathing ASIA?..little wonder that they still have living breathing customers, looking at the queues at their ATM's/CDM/ counters...especially payday...

:p

You must be another satisfied POSB customer :D:D

I finally closed my POSB account this year. I was reluctant to do so for sentimental reasons because I've had that account for 30+ years.

We all have to move forward & leave behind the old dinosaurs like the PAP, POSB, ...etc :)

I am NOT!, I have actually closed all my POSB accounts with them when the merged with DBS. I was forced to open a saving's account. years later, due to many dumbass hav no bank accts other than POSB/DBS

My POSB account started at the POST OFFICE, when I was no taller than the P.O. counters, right to National Service & work...

I would want to close my POSB acct, not for the fact that I have do business transaction with people wo don't have an UOB, OCBC, SCB etc accounts...

Their tagline should be, TRULY SUCKS!:D

opps sorry i didn't notice it.

You would react the same way regardless of the race or nationality of the person that did that right?

Sorry about the mix up.

Could you pls tell me if it wasn't a keling but say a teen or a tiong for eg would you have said something?

Btw you mentioned the teen and the uncle damn i wonder what would have happened if it was that keling you encountered that day that did that.

I am particular about this cos i want to find out if kelings or at least non chinese ppl tend to get away with fucked up behavior.

I want to also understand the psychology behind such behavior if it happens like why in the blue hell are chinese ppl afraid of offending non chinese ppl when they do wrong if that actually exists.

He was not there to make trouble. More likely, he wanted to do his transaction quickly, and when he saw a long queue, tried to justify to himself using absurd logic that what he did was rational and reasonable, so that he could get his way.

That's why I said in a previous post that he's a combination of a damn fool and an arsehole with no sense of social etiquette.

The sad part is that there are lots of people like that in SG these days, mainly uneducated chinamen and educated indian nationals. Yes, it's strange isn't it, the people who use absurd logic to justify their actions tend to be uneducated foreigners from china and educated foreigners from india. If you have been in China for long periods and dealt with the well educated folks there or dealt with the Bangla or Indian workers, most of these tend to be more logical and reasonable.

if tatz the case, could it be sg has been over pampering them and let them throw their weight around?

If I may answer the question, I have told off and will continue to tell off anyone who cuts queue irrespective of age, nationality, race or gender.
Start off with a polite request, continue with a stronger statement and followed by a telling off. How the conversation proceeds will be determined by how he or she responds.

Have to admit though that I would only do this in broad daylight and when there are people around. Of course, there is the risk that they will lie in wait for me later. So be it then.

No it's not.
The uneducated in China also justify their arguments with absurd logic. Anyone who has worked in China will tell you that.
The problem is that most of the prc nationals in SG are uneducated and socially inept. It's not that they have been pampered here. The few educated prc nationals in SG tend to be well behaved and listen to logic.

Not that they behave the same way, but in terms of trying to justify their words or actions with absurd logic, that's what I've noticed.

Uneducated indian or bangledesh nationals and educated prc nationals tend to be more compliant and listen to reason.
It's the same with children running wild in public places. They tend to be children of educated indian nationals or uneducated prc nationals.
