A self-employed man was brought to court on Tuesday to face two charges of maid abuse.
Lee Kam Chuan, 45, allegedly slapped Ms Siti Rochayati, pulled her hair and swung a pail towards her at his home in Jalan Gaharu in Bukit Timah on Jan 16, 2011.
The second charge accuses him of slapping and punching the right eye of another Indonesian maid, Ms Sherly Susanti, about 1 1/2 hours later the same day.
His lawyer Sunil Sudheesan applied for the case to be adjourned to four weeks to write in to the Attorney-General's Chamber.
