Raymond Lim was right. Electricity Tariffs do not necessarily correlate with fuel prices. What he means is when fuel prices go u, electricity tariff go up, but when it go down, it remain the same or never change.

I have a burning question... since they sold off their power plants, all 3 of them, they are acting as just collecting agents. What are the operational costs increase they are talking about. If its the power grid, its already in place. Mind you all 3 operators reported profits from their Singapore operation.

What I hate about the whole thing is that they are not sincere enough to tell us that its a taxation. Meanwhile they reward their CEOs with un-singaporean wages and bonuses. They are raping us outright.

30% of Singapore's electrical power is generated by fuel oil.......70% comes from natural gas......tariff is totally pegged to oil. This doesn't make sense. .....Honest? Ethical?

SINGAPORE - Oil has edged lower, heading for its first quarterly drop since 2008 as risk aversion over Europe's debt crisis ......

US crude for August tumbled as much as 61 cents to $US75.33 a barrel and was down 12 cents at $US75.82 by 1438 AEST. ICE Brent crude slid 29 cents to $US75.15.

Prices have declined almost 10 per cent from the end of March, the first quarterly drop since the October-December period in 2008. .....

Then certain months, they take meter readings, usually their average is higher than you use & for 3 months, they would collected more than usual from you & 'they adjust' what they had taken, in comparison to your usage. Then they average the bill again....

If you use GIRO, you have already "top up"...Stink Power cash account..."HUAT"! ah!... that is why GIRO in Chinese is 才路, their 才路, not yours. Anyway, your money is your own hand, take care of it..if possible, cancel all 才路, theirs of course!!

Thats because they are too cheap to install digital meters and too cheap to have their guys check meters every month to save costs
