it's not the pap's fault that these workers opt for lower pay and poor working conditions, because it's their choice. after surviving death threats, abuse, torture, and starvation by the japs in ww2, more abuse, joblessness, poverty, homelessness, and discrimination by returning brits after the war, and finally peace, prosperity, protection, and pampering by the pap after independence, these pioneer generation has a problem shedding the stockholm syndrome suffered under the japs, commies, and brits. decades of abuse made them familiar and fond of the treatment. even when the pap regime tells them to chill out and take a break, they refuse to. what can you do? let them enjoy what they wish for, and hopefully when the heart stops, they will discover closure to an entire life of abuse, poverty, misery, and hardship that they have accustomed to and perhaps find comfort in. :*:
