MALAYSIA - A 60-year-old woman in Sentul was kicked and beaten up by her younger husband for failing to fulfil his marital needs, Sin Chew Daily reported.
It said the woman, who was widowed five years ago, married the 40-year-old man last year.
Her new husband began ill-treating her and beating her up about four months ago.
She claimed that the man even forced her to eat cat food.
The husband fled the house after his wife lodged a police report on Sunday.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Zakaria Pagan, who confirmed receiving a report on the matter, said the case had been classified as assault.
