Elderly man caught for suspected snatch theft

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 65-year-old man suspected of stealing from a 58-year-old visually-handicapped victim.

The incident happened at about 8.40am on May 13 around Bukit Merah View.

Police received a report that the suspect had snatched a pouch containing valuables amounting to about S$200.

The suspect was arrested around Jalan Membina at about 10.40pm on May 14.

He'll be charged in court on May 16.
