Einstein's Light Postulate:

What it means is that whether you are moving against a source of light or you are standing still, you would find the speed of light (if you could really measure it) to be always c = 299,792,458 meter/sec. So if you are standing still and someone shines a touch at you, the light speed is c meter/sec. If you are a UFO alien in a craft moving towards the earth at 0.5 c, and a laser beam is directed towards you, you would also find the light speed to be c meter/sec and not 1.5c = c + 0.5c.

The relativists says this is because Einstein's special relativity theory is - "at the most most fundamental level of nature" - counter-intuitive.

Dear Brother,

You really cannot aspire to be like "US"!

"They" say Singapore is just a little red dot, but mind you "we are not sama-sama". Remember many aeons back, Singapore had a philosopher administrator - Phillip Y... something - the one who gave us Jurong Industrial Estate. He watch the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie where the hero walks with the gun - you could feel the earth thundering on every step the hero takes; the power of the man awed me and I lost hope of ever becoming this powerful! PY said Singapore should produce a gene pool of people with such brains+brawns - like AS.

The swinging pendulum should be introduced to kindergartens if we really really want different gene pool Singaporeans! :p

I don't know what these people are doing nowadays, wanting to "push" kids to their limits hoping to produce a special breed of people.

The kid's (my prim 3 grand nephew ) mother just said to me (11:20 pm):
"I have no time to discuss. Tommorrow he (the kid) has to hand over the homework; otherwise he will be "beaten"...."

My grand nephew told me his tuition teacher "bought" the test papers from the Red Swastika School.

Primary 3 special maths tuition test:
α = a small triangle
β = a small rectangle

α + α + β + β = 312
α + β + ☺ + ☺ = 200.

What is ☺?

Is this OK? To each his own.

Maybe this pattern recognition may be OK. But I think I have seen cases that are too much. Our MOE is trying to breed special kids.

The above may be explained thus:
If we multiply the second "equation" by 2, then there would be the same numbers of α and β on boths equation; then we could subtract those away leaving 4 ☺ = 2*200 - 312, ☺ = 22.
But still a prim 3 student don't understand some algebriac concepts as we do.
